Not only the 66 m² stand A4.102 is the biggest in Katsa´s history, also the escort winch power package to be introduced is of new size for Katsa´s product portfolio. The gearbox weight of approx. 11 t for a 120 t escort winch is a good example of Katsa´s capabilities in designing and manufacturing also large special gearboxes. In autumn 2014 opened large gearbox assembly facility supports Katsa to assemble gearboxes with a total weight of up to 15 t.

With such large gearboxes Katsa is utilizing now also its production capacity of large high quality gears and pinions in its own gearboxes. Katsa´s gear quality is presented at SMM with a large gearwheel and a pinion for a ship main propulsion gearbox.
